As an outside catering provider we regularly cater for gorgeous family and friend filled celebrations after baby naming ceremonies or christenings.
Dependant on the time of year and style of occasion you are aiming for most choose a laid back affair with plenty of time to catch up and chat with relatives and friends.

Our most popular menus are based around 3 styles of catering:
– Afternoon tea, including dainty sandwiches, richly fruited scones with jams and clotted cream, handmade sponge cakes, slices of deli quiche and savouries.
– Mixed hot and cold buffets, including soups, filled rolls, sliced vegetable frittatas, farmhouse sausages and onion marmalade, marinated chicken.
– Cold deli style buffet, smooth pates, chutneys, cheeses, sliced meats, vegetable slaws, cous cous, potato salad, hand baked savouries.

But what can be prepared yourself in advance if you are doing your own food?
Personally i would opt for a cold style buffet with an emphasis on salads and cold meats, cheese and poached salmon to make the preparation time minimal and keeping everything fresh.

Another lovely addition I’ve seen more and more recently is to seat the children separate and create a mad hatters tea party style of buffet for them. plainer sandwiches, jelly served in tea cups, vegetable crudities and dips, cubed cheese makes easy work for little fingers.
